The Bill Review Technical Analyst/ Auditor is responsible for determining appropriateness of charges via analysis of medical bills and corresponding supporting documentation.  Technical expertise is utilized to enforce bill review edits, usual and customary standards, PPO discounts, client specific requirements and state fee schedules rules and regulations.  Bills are audited to ensure accuracy of data entry and applied bill review edits, rules, and regulations.

Duties

Analyze bills to determine appropriateness of billed charges per bill review guidelines, rules, and regulations. Adjudicate bills through the application of technical expertise. Perform quality assurance audits on bills to ensure accuracy of data entry and application of bill review usual and customary guidelines, fee schedule rules and regulations and clinical edits.  Process provider appeals and answer provider inquiry calls.

Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum five years’ workers’ compensation bill review experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient 10 key and data entry skills
• Ability to assist team members to develop knowledge and understanding of bill review practice
• Knowledge of CPT, medical terminology, ICD coding, clinical edits, DRG, NDC codes, and HCPC coding
• Knowledge of state fee schedules, usual and customary bill review processing, and PPO adjudication
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Provider Inquiry and client relations experience
• Excellent phone skills

IMS is looking for a seasoned Fee Schedule Analyst who is familiar with multiple state fee schedules for workers’ compensation.

The Fee Schedule Analyst is responsible for researching and determining the proper fee schedule for medical bill review. This includes having one or more states assigned to this position. All procedures that fall under that states fee schedule is required to be analyzed and interpreted.

Job Duties:

• Research all required sources of documentation for assigned states. This includes current data and fee schedule information
• Interpret the fee schedule rules and document the different case scenarios
• Update IMS rules engine with current changes in fee schedule for their proprietary software
• Educate team members on new information pertaining to regulatory changes
• Work with operations and technical team to ensure all rules are accurate and current

Essential Skills:

• Knowledge of workers’ compensation fee schedules
• Familiar with medical bill review process
• Competent use of computers and similar technologies
• Working in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills specifically as it pertains to documentation

IMS is looking for an experienced full stack developer. IMS is a leader in medical bill review and is one of a few companies that designs and maintains their own software platform. We provide tools for our internal staff as well as for customers via our web portal. Core competencies should focus around .Net framework, familiar with Entity Framework, and MVC.

Job Duties:

• Work with development team to design and develop front end applications.
• Provide assistance with data layer design
• Communicate design ideas and work with wire-frame tools and agile iteration cycles
• Maintain and deploy updates to existing platform
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks
• Deliver iterations and functional codes based no agreed timelines

Essential Skills:

• Minimum  7 years experience with C# .Net development, ASP.NET, JQuery, AJAX and MVC
• Strong knowledge of full Entity Framework stack and associated technologies
• Fundamental knowledge of MS SQL 2012/2014
• Use of TFS Team Foundation Server and VS 20xx
• High level of understanding HTML5, CSS and responsive design
• Basic Agile development understanding
• Experience with third party tools such as Telerik and Infragistics
